Mr. Cüneyt Gençer was born in 1969 in Karabük, Turkey and immigrated with his parents in 1973 to Hildesheim, Germany. After completion of his abitur in Osterode am Harz, he began studying law at the University of Bayreuth. While in Bayreuth, he completed additional training to certify as a commercial lawyer. He completed his articled clerkship in Nuremberg and, after passing his second Staatsexamen (bar exam), he established himself an independent lawyer, thus lying the foundation for gençer & coll. In 1999 and 2000, he completed the required training and testing to become a government certified and sworn translator and interpreter for Turkish, both in Nuremberg and Istanbul. Between July 2005 and December 2007, Mr. Gençer was the first counsel and trusted attorney of the Turkish General Consul in Nuremberg. He maintains contacts to the Turkish economy and with the Turkish Consul General. Next to his work as an attorney, with an emphasis on business law, company law, criminal law and international private law, he dedicates his time to managing the firm.
