Mr. Cüneyt Gençer was born in 1969 in Karabük, Turkey and immigrated with his parents in 1973 to Hildesheim, Germany. After completion of his abitur in Osterode am Harz, he began studying law at the University of Bayreuth. While in Bayreuth, he completed additional training to certify as a commercial lawyer. He completed his articled clerkship in Nuremberg and, after passing his second Staatsexamen (bar exam), he established himself an independent lawyer, thus lying the foundation for gençer & coll. In 1999 and 2000, he completed the required training and testing to become a government certified and sworn translator and interpreter for Turkish, both in Nuremberg and Istanbul. Between July 2005 and December 2007, Mr. Gençer was the first counsel and trusted attorney of the Turkish General Consul in Nuremberg. He maintains contacts to the Turkish economy and with the Turkish Consul General. Next to his work as an attorney, with an emphasis on business law, company law, criminal law and international private law, he dedicates his time to managing the firm.

Mr. Oliver Baumann was born in 1972 in Erlangen, where he also obtained his abitur and attended law school. After completing his articled clerkship in Nuremberg, he joined the team at gençer & coll. first as a research assistant and then later as an attorney. Next to his responsibilities as a legal guardian, Mr. Baumann focuses on employment and social law.

Ms. Irene Blank was born in 1974 in Nuremberg, where she also completed her abitur. After studying law at the Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen-Nuremberg she completed her first bar exam. After completion of her articled clerkship in Nuremberg and her second bar exam, she started work as an Attorney with gençer & coll. In 2010, she qualified as a certified specialist for family law.

Ms. Julia Schönfelder was born in 1984 in Freising, where she grew up and completed her abitur. After completion of law school at the Ludwig-Maximillian-University in Munich with a focus on International, European and Foreign Private and Procedural Law, she completed her 1st Staatsexamen (bar exam) with honors. During her articled clerkship in Nuremberg, she certified as a business mediator (CVM) and completed an internship in Tel Aviv with an international law firm. She completed her 2nd Staatsexamen (bar exam), also with honors. In 2011 she joined the team of gençer & coll. as an attorney, where she focuses on Trade and Company Law, Consumer Protection Law and Tenancy Law.

Ms. Ranja Hemam, whose parents are from Tunisia, was born in 1985 in Regensburg, where she grew up and completed her abitur. After studying law at the University of Regensburg, she completed the 1st Staatsexamen (bar exam) with honors. She sat her 2nd Staatsexamen (bar exam) during her articled clerkship in Nuremberg, which she also passed with honors. During her clerkship, she focused on international and European private and procedural law. In 2012 she joined the team at gençer & coll. as an attorney, where she focuses on employment law, trade and company law, and consumer protection law.

Mr. Sebastian Kerner was born in 1986 in Erlangen. After completion of his abitur in Oberasbach, he studied law and completed his 1st Staatsexamen (bar exam) at the Friedrich-Alexander University, Erlangen-Nuremberg with a focus on company law. At the end of his articled clerkship in Nuremberg with focus on company law, he completed his 2nd Staatsexamen (bar exam). Mr. Kerner completed an internship international firm in Shanghai, China with a focus on international incorporation, conception of market entry strategies and international employment law. In 2013 he began work at gençer & coll. as an attorney, where he focuses on bank and market law, copyright law, intellectual property law and consumer protection law.

Mr. Stephan Gesierich was born in 1981 in Munich. After completion of his abitur in Weiden in der Oberpfalz, he studied law at the University of Regensburg, where he sat his 1st Staatsexamen (bar exam). At the end of his articled clerkship in Nuremberg, he completed his 2nd Staatsexamen (bar exam). In the years 2010 and 2011 he worked as an attorney for medical law, medical malpractice and intellectual property law at gençer & coll. In 2011, he took an advisory position in the firm.

Ms. Sonia Ayari Haj El Ajimi was born in 1971 in Enfidha, Tunisia. She completed her abitur in 1989 in Sidi Bou Ali in Sousse, Tunisia. She then went on to complete Law School at the El-Ouassat Universtiy in Sousse, Tunisia, where she obtained a “Bakkalareus” (Master of Laws). After completing a postgraduate course in private law from the Distance Learning University Montpellier I in France, she joined the team of gençer & coll. as an attorney for Tunisian law.
