Today, more than 10 million tourists per year are attracted by the city, approximately one third of which come from Germany. It is no coincidence that a branch office of the German Consulate General in Izmir is located in Antalya, with responsibility for the provinces ("vilayet"or "il") Antalya, Burdur and Isparta.

A city partnership with Nuremberg was established in 1997. In this context, a tram with historic cars from the Franconian partner city has been running since the same year. A present from the association of German-Turkish entrepreneurs in Central Franconia (TİAD), of which Rechtsanwalt Cüneyt Gençer has been a member since 1998. Antalya's landmark, in the centre of the city, is the minaret of the Yivli Minare mosque which dates back to the 13th century. Immediately adjacent, in an old Turkish listed building, you will find the offices of Gençer & Coll.
